Mage Moodboard

The mages' have very distinctive iconography associated with them: they can look like witches, often wear long robes, and their outfits/spells often include various sigils or symbols. Their colour scheme is rich with blues, purple, and pinks; magical colours.

Crows fit with the mage class in many ways. Their colour scheme, dark with iridescent blues, fit with the colour palette mentioned. They are also very intelligent animals, and are one of the few animals that know how to solve complex puzzles and how to use tools. I thought this intelligence could be interpreted as magic.

The interesting task of translating the wings into appendages that can actually hold objects will be difficult, that's why I included the picture on the top row near the middle. It shows a drawing of an anthropomorphic crow and owl, both animals I will be using, that shows them having wings, but also fingers and thumbs to hold objects. This is the style of anatomy I want my avian characters to have.
